From WMA President Kellee K. Chwala

What a year it has been! Can you believe how quickly it flew by? Congratulations to all the lodges that finished the year in the plus — some of the membership numbers were truly amazing! A special acknowledgement goes to Green Bay Lodge, which has taken the reins as the largest lodge in the state with an incredible plus-200 members over last year! Other notable gains include Muskego at plus 162, West Bend at plus 100, and Rice Lake at plus 92. Currently, 20 lodges are eligible for Premier Lodge status based on being plus-one in membership. I can’t wait to see how many lodges achieve it at the International Convention!

Speaking of the International Convention — who’s going? Have you made your plans yet? Please be sure to RSVP to WisMooseEvents@yahoo.com so we can get a headcount for the Penzkover COB Reception on Wednesday, July 1 at 6:00 PM, and also know who is available to help hand out swag at the end of the Opening Session! Shirts are still available on the Wisconsin Moose Association website.

As I am typing this, the Wisconsin Home has officially opened, and plans are well underway for the Graduation Picnic on May 30. It is shaping up to be a beautiful weekend on campus! Make sure to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be at Mooseheart in the spring. Again, RSVP ASAP to WisMooseEvents@yahoo.com, so we know how many people to prepare for.
Graduation begins at 9:00 AM in the Fieldhouse. Following Graduation, head up toward the Ohio Pavilion and the House of God to watch the Pilgrim March and snap a photo of the Pilgrim Class. After the Pilgrim Ceremonies, join us at the Wisconsin Home for a cookout!

We are so excited to welcome Katie and Dawn as the house parents, along with the three elementary boys — soon to be four — into our home.
A few helpful tips for Graduation Weekend:

Bring your own chair
Pack a small cooler with non-alcoholic beverages and snacks
Consider bringing a wagon to help transport your chairs and belongings around campus

Typically, parking for the Pilgrim Parade is behind the House of God while the parade takes place in the front, so a wagon can really help wrangle everything you need for the day!

I hope to see many of you throughout the summer at the various events happening around the state. Keep an eye on the calendars, get out there, and support the WMA!

See you at Mooseheart for Graduation!
