WOMEN OF WISCONSIN—WOTM

WOW! Once again, the Women of Wisconsin knocked it out of the park with a very fun filled, successful Chapter Rally Day Celebration!

Our Community Service Projects were Hope Tiny Village and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. We had a speaker from each group come and speak to us. Everyone was very impressed. Thank you so very much to all of the Moose Sisters that attended and took part in making the tie blankets. Through our fundraising efforts we were able to make a $700.00 donation to Hope Tiny Village and a $50.00 donation plus a whole bunch of blankets, sheets and pillows to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. The gentleman from Sleep in Heavenly Peace was totally blown away by the number of donations and some of our Moose Sisters helped him load all of the donations into two vehicles. The speaker from Sleep in Heavenly Peace is also the “Festmeister” for Oktoberfest in Eau Claire, he spoke to us about the history of Oktoberfest and tried to teach us one of the dances that they do. We also learned the right way to tie an apron. Seems like I’ve been doing it wrong most of my life… Ha Ha Ha!

Also, through our fundraising efforts we were able to make the following donations:

  • Wisconsin Moose Association Youth Awareness Program $870.00
  • Wisconsin Moose Association Operation Penzkover $654.00
  • Mooseheart Uniting Hearts, Expanding Horizons $387.00

Many in attendance wore their Oktoberfest outfits and everyone had a great time. Many thanks to Eau Claire Moose Lodge for hosting the event and many thanks to District Five for all that they did to make this so successful.

Next year, Rally Days will be hosted by District One at the Monroe Moose Lodge the weekend of October 9–11, 2026.

In November, we will be honoring our new Collegians, tassel changes, red stole recipients and the Award of Achievement. This is a special open meeting and everyone can and should attend. Congratulations to all that will be honored at this special meeting.

We have so much to be grateful for and especially during the month of November. I know I am very grateful, blessed and fortunate to belong to such a wonderful organization that does so much for so many.

Fraternally, Karyn Johnson
