The President’s Pen

Hey all!

Can you believe it’s already been two weeks since the convention in Stevens Point? Me neither! What an incredible couple of weeks it has been.

The Sunday after the banquet, we held our first State Board Meeting. Attendance was decent, but I’m really looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at meetings this year. Let’s work together to make this year the best one yet!

Important Date Change: Our next Executive Committee and Executive Board Meetings will be held in West Bend on Saturday, November 1.

Executive Committee meets at 10:00 a.m.

Executive Board meets at 1:00 p.m.

I can’t wait to see all the Executive Board members, District Presidents, District Secretaries, and State Dignitaries there! If you have business to be considered before the board, please get it to Matt and me ahead of time.

The next FULL State Board Meeting will be in Kenosha on December 13, along with our State Christmas Party. I’m looking forward to celebrating the holidays with all of you!

On my way home from the convention, I stopped in Racine for the District 2 meeting. I had the honor of swearing in their new officers and congratulating them on being the Top District for 2024. Huge congrats to Nicole and all of D2!

That Tuesday, it was right back to business with Joint Board and Board Meetings. Wednesday… finally a day of rest! For those who don’t know, Wednesday is my day off—and along with Mondays, usually the best days for me to visit lodges if invited. I’d love to visit as many of you as possible this year. I think I’ve been to every lodge in the state except La Crosse—and La Crosse, you’re officially on my list! Please let me know about your upcoming celebrations; I’d love to join you.

This past week, Jim, Matt, and I traveled to Oklahoma City to scout a location for Mark’s Chairman of the Board Celebration. After visiting several venues, we found one that feels just right—and the best part is they’ll let us bring in some Wisconsin touches! Please start making plans to attend; it’s going to be a celebration you won’t want to miss.

We’ll be launching the COB Merchandise site in the next couple of weeks. Be sure to get your orders in early to guarantee your size and delivery at the Mid-Year Conference. A limited amount of stock will be available onsite, and shipping charges will apply if not picked up at the conference.
