Wow! Wow! Wow!
If you were down at Mooseheart for Graduation Weekend, you know exactly what I’m talking about! There is such an incredible energy in the air right now. The sun was shining, the atmosphere was electric, and best of all, the Wisconsin Home once again has children in it!
The celebrations have officially begun as we prepare for a truly historic moment in Oklahoma City, where our own Mark J.K. Penzkover will become the Chairman of the Moose International, Inc. Board of Directors. As a proud Mooseheart graduate, Mark’s journey perfectly represents why we do what we do every day. His story is the story of Mooseheart—a child given opportunity, support, and love through our fraternity, growing into a leader who will now guide our organization into the future.
Over the past several years, Wisconsin Moose members have worked tirelessly to raise funds and prepare for these celebrations, and we are excited for the first major event on Wednesday, July 1, in Oklahoma City. If you haven’t already, please RSVP to ChairmanMJKP2026@gmail.com. We would love to celebrate this incredible milestone with you.
Convention Reminders
Tuesday, June 30 – Opening Ceremonies
• Wear or bring your yellow Mark T-shirts.
• Since we cannot wear them until Mark is officially announced, please either wear something over your shirt or plan to put it on immediately following the nominations.
• We will also need volunteers to help hand out swag. If you’re willing to help, please send me your phone number so I can include you in our text group with meeting details.
Wednesday, July 1
• Wear your red Mark polos with pride as we gather for the Wisconsin reception and continue the celebration!
Friday, July 3 – Installation of Officers
• WMA Board Members and Past Presidents: Please wear your WMA blazers.
• Everyone else: This is a wonderful opportunity to wear your “I Walk with Mark” shirt or any other WMA apparel and proudly represent Wisconsin.
• Following the Installation, we’d love to gather for a large group photo to commemorate the beginning of Mark’s incredible journey as Chairman.
While Oklahoma City is the beginning, the celebrations won’t end there. We are continuing our fundraising efforts as we look ahead to the Mid-Year Conference next spring and the many events still to come.
And let’s not forget that we will also be celebrating our incoming Moose Legion International President, Steve Hennen, during the International Convention, with a special Wisconsin celebration planned for this fall at our State Convention.
There is so much to celebrate in 2026. Together, let’s make this one of the most memorable years in Wisconsin Moose history!
Fraternally,
Kellee K. Chwala
